Mayor Eric Adams defiantly vowed to stay in New York City’s mayoral race Friday as rumors swirled that he’s up for a potential cushy job in President Trump’s administration .
“I’m running and I’m going to beat [Zohran] Mamdani,” he said outside Gracie Mansion.

A stern Adams kicked off his barely five-minute news conference by firing shots at his rivals former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mamdani, referring to both as “spoiled brats” born with silver spoons in their mouths.
“Andrew Cuomo is a snake and a liar,” Adams said. “I am in this race, and I’m the only one who can beat Mamdani. Andrew has had a career of pushing black candidates out of races.”
