England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has posted an update on social media after failing to secure a proposed move away from Manchester United this summer.

Mainoo's future at United appeared to be hanging in the balance after he requested a loan move last week. The Reds' response was one of defiance, with United head coach Ruben Amorim keen to retain the young midfielder.

As the transfer window closed on Monday , it was evident that the 20-year-old would not be leaving Old Trafford , and would remain a United player until at least January. Mainoo's desire to leave the North West was driven by his limited playing time this season.
