BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - After having to close from damage left behind by the flood of 2016, the Salvation Army thrift store off Airline is back and running.

“It’s been a great day. I was looking down the line of people that we had. It reminded me of the old Black Friday sales. People lined up just waiting to get in. And like you said, there are smiles everywhere,” Captain Brian Hicks, Salvation Army Corps Officer, said.

Those smiles are all for the grand re-opening of the Salvation Army thrift store, a neighborhood staple that gives back to the community it serves. The money made here goes back into the Salvation Army’s many programs.
