Alberta Health Services (AHS) issued a public health alert Friday to warn that visitors to HUB Mall on the University of Alberta’s main campus last Sunday and Tuesday may have been exposed to measles.
In a news release, AHS stated the infectious individual was in HUB Mall between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. last Sunday, Aug. 31 and was also in the building’s multifaith room (room 172) between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. the same day.

It adds the person was again in HUB Mall between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. last Tuesday, Sept. 2, the first day of the U of A’s fall term.
