The Central Missouri Honor Flight will fly its last flight on Monday, marking 16 years of missions.
70 veterans are the last heroes to be flown by CMHF to Washington D.C. to see memorials dedicated to their military service, according to a news release. On board will be 69 Vietnam veterans and one Korean War veteran, along with three husband and wife veteran couples.
CMHF's final flight departs from Columbia at 1:45 a.m. and will return to the Columbia Courtyard by Mariott at 9:30 p.m., according to the news release.
After buses leave the St. Louis airport Monday evening, motorcyclists a part of the Central Missouri Honor Flight Riders will escort them along Interstate 70 from Kingdom City.
The public is encouraged to arrive at the Columbia Courtyard by Mariott around 8:30 p.m. to get
