None of Cleveland Township’s three outdoor warning sirens worked during Thursday’s monthly test, according to township officials. The sirens sit at County Roads 2 and 5, 6 and 10, and behind Boomarelli’s Pizza on County Road 12. One has been out since March. The fire department said it’s still waiting on parts from Federal Field Services, the Ohio company hired to make repairs. The sirens connect to St. Joseph County’s emergency system under an old verbal agreement, which has led to confusion over who’s responsible for maintenance.
