MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - The Moline-Coal Valley School District and community members celebrated improvements to Browning Field Friday night.
Before the Maroons took on Sycamore, students, High School Principal Chris Moore and School Board Vice President Audrey Adamson gathered at the center of the field for the ribbon cutting.
“Everybody’s been looking forward to this project,” Todd Thompson, Moline activities director, said. “We’ve been trying to get this done for years and it’s just, it’s finally here, it’s exciting, and I think, as you can tell by the crowd, everybody’s pretty excited about today.”
Renovations include:
A new synthetic turf field
New restrooms and concession facilities
Updated walkways and gathering areas
New fencing
Resurfaced track
Modernized field event areas
