Rain and thunderstorm chances continue through Saturday across New Mexico. Drier and warmer weather will move back in starting Sunday.

A surge of monsoon moisture brought scattered showers and thunderstorms across parts of New Mexico Friday. A strong cold front has moved through the eastern half of the state, leaving afternoon temperatures as much as 10° to 40° cooler than yesterday. Rain moved through the Albuquerque Metro this evening, dropping over half an inch in some places. Storms will continue across parts of New Mexico through late tonight, with another chance for rain the Metro around midnight. Rain will mostly wrap up Saturday morning, but scattered showers and storms will redevelop across most of New Mexico by Saturday evening. Storms will again bring a threat of heavy rainfall
