SIKESTON, Mo. (KFVS) - It was a much better matchup than last year’s game, but Dexter was still able to dispatch Sikeston on the football field, 39-24.

The Bearcats started out strong, recording an immediate interception, before Jason Hervoyavich ran in for the game’s first touchdown.

Sikeston would come right back, however, with quarterback Piece Baker running in the score, before a PAT put the Bulldogs up 7-6.

From there, the downhill running teams traded touchdowns, before Dexter went up 20-14 late in the second quarter.

That’s when the Bearcats seized the moment.

Jaxon Miller took a fumble back nearly the length of the field, with Devin Turnbo taking a shovel pass in to put the Bearcats up two scores.
