Viva Calle returns to San Jose this weekend.
On Sunday, the city will close several streets to vehicles so residents can enjoy their community on foot or two wheels. The event allows people to make new friends and get to know the city better, but it also creates concerns for business owners who rely on vehicle traffic.
Three Viva Calle events per year draw more than 425,000 people. This Sunday, the event will come to Willow Glen, the Rose Garden and Japantown, with 10 miles of city streets closed to cars.
