A cruel pair caused unnecessary suffering to four dogs at their Middlesbrough home.

Diane Kenvyn and Ellissa Rose Kenvyn failed to investigate and address the causes of the animals’ “poor bodily condition and weight loss”. The pair appeared at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and admitted causing unnecessary suffering to protected animals.

The court heard that Diane Kenvyn, 42, and Ellissa Rose Kenvyn, 18, “caused unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, namely three malinois type dogs called Beau, Covou, Max and a cross breed dog called Rocco". The Animal Welfare Act crime was committed between October 28 and December 11, last year, at the pair's home.
