Former Coronation Street actress Amanda Barrie is revealing everything about her "secret" life in her brand new memoir at 90 years old.
The actress is famed for bringing humour and heart to the ITV soap through her portrayal of Alma Halliwell between 1981 and 2001.
She played the wife of factory owner Mike Baldwin, played by the late Johnny Briggs on and off until her alter ego's tragic death from cervical cancer.
Viewers may recall that while on the cobbles, Alma divorced her first husband, Jim Sedgewick, in 1982 after he ran off with a florist and got the café as part of the settlement. She then sold 40% of the business to Gail Platt - then Gail Tilsley - and the pair ran the café successfully until 1997 when Alma sold her share to Roy Cropper.
