Smoky conditions remain across British Columbia on Saturday, Sept. 6.
Because of this, Environment Canada's special air quality statement remains in place for the majority of the province, except Vancouver Island and the northwest portion including Dease Lake.
According to the government's weather agency, wildfire smoke is going to continue to impact the province for 24-48 hours.
The province has issued an air quality warning as well and have an interactive map showing the affected areas.
As of Saturday morning, there are 144 active wildfires, with 53 of them considered out of control.
