MERRILLVILLE, Ind. (WNDU) - Notre Dame linebacker Drayk Bowen’s football journey began at Andrean High School in Merrillville.
Guiding and shaping him was his head coach, Chris Skinner.
“He’s one of the hardest workers that’s come through here,” Skinner says.
Bowen was a part of Coach Skinner’s program from 2019-2022, and the lessons he learned during that time still guide him today.
“He’s really smart, so he taught me a lot of what he was seeing as an offensive coordinator. What he is seeing as a offense and how that affects the defense,” Bowen says. “That is something I learned and tried to learn from him is just what he’s seeing from a coach’s perspective and how I can use that on defense to help our defense.”
