MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Dollar stores are no longer just a place for cleaning supplies or household bargains. More families are filling their carts with food, and a new study suggests those purchases may not be hurting diets as much as many think. Stephanie Ramsey, a mother of four, said she relies on Dollar Tree on Park Avenue to help feed her family. “It is affordable for single parents trying to make a way for their kids,” Ramsey said. “It comes in handy when people are struggling.” Cecil Pullen also depends on the store to stretch his budget. “Every day.
