TUNICA, Miss. - After 31 years, Tunica will be saying goodbye to the Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall. It's the largest casino to date in the area. Owner Boyd Gaming announced to its employees Thursday that it will be shutting its doors in Mississippi this coming November. In a statement, the company announced this as a difficult decision, and it has to do with the declining market in that area.
