Hard to believe we're already more than a quarter of the way through the high school football season, but three games are in the books now for most teams.

There were plenty of top-notch performances by desert players this week and it's time for you to vote for the best of the best.

Last week you voted and you chose Rancho Mirage's Josiah Casillas, who earned the rare Friday Night Hero win in his first ever varsity game. The freshman defensive back was living in the Coachella Valley backfield, registering three tackles for loss as the Rattlers defense stymied CV all night in an important victory.
