COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus City Utilities (CCU) has finished construction of a new water storage tank near the intersection of Deaver Road and County Road 175W. Workers broke ground on the project in 2023. The new tank holds two million gallons of water and helps meet growing water demands throughout the system.
The tower is part of a larger group of water projects that includes four new drinking water wells, a new booster station, a new water main extension under I-65, and several water main replacements. The tank and additional water projects were financed through a $22.2 million loan from the Indiana State Revolving Fund Loan Program.
