LANSING, MI -- Only one other lottery jackpot in U.S. history has ever been larger than the one in tonight’s Powerball drawing.

The estimated jackpot for the drawing on Saturday, Sept.6 is worth $1.8 billion, with a cash option of $824.6 million.

Once again, MLive will provide results of the drawing shortly after it takes place at 11 p.m. EST.

There have been 41 consecutive drawings without a jackpot winner, leading to tonight’s massive jackpot. The last time the grand prize was won came on May 31, when a player in California matched all five white balls and the red Powerball. The current jackpot trails only a 2022 Powerball prize that hit $2.04 billion.
