SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Downtown Sioux Falls was hopping on Saturday as the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science celebrated its 62nd annual Sidewalk Arts Festival .

The free outdoor event welcomed more than 230 vendors featuring regional artists, artisans, non-profit organizations, and food vendors.

The event serves as a fundraiser for the Washington Pavilion and is the region’s largest one-day arts festival.

The crowds always turn out, and that’s why vendors return year after year to show off their work.

“It’s a huge, happy crowd every year. In September, the weather is usually just great. We have so many friends who come back here year after year,” said Mark Levsen, with Mark Levsen Woodcarving .
