SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - As the Veterans Community Project of Sioux Falls continues construction of its village, it continues its fight against homelessness for veterans.

The organization held its third annual Poker Run on Saturday, making stops in South Dakota and Iowa before ending the day in Brandon.

Compared to the past couple of years, bikers started at the village itself to see what’s under construction and what progress is being made.

“Each year, it just gets a little better and better. So, we changed things up this year, and we’re starting at the village instead of the typical J&L Harley-Davidson. We’re hoping to get bikers out here to come see the village,” said Development Director Kaelyn Giefer.
