SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4 Sports) - The Utes football team did what it was supposed to do -- it crushed Cal Poly Saturday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Devon Dampier threw for three touchdowns, while Wayshwan Parker added 102 total yards and two TD's on just seven touches in a 63-9 blowout over the Mustangs to improve to 2-0 on the season.
"We controlled the game really from start to finish," said head coach Kyle Whittingham. "A lot of guys made good contributions, and we got to take a look at a lot of the guys in the second half. I thought Devon played well. His completion percentage again was way up."
Dampier completed 17 of 23 passes for 192 yards, including a 58-yard screen pass to Parker on the opening drive of the game to set the tone.
