One of Illinois' most haunted landmarks is set to open for the spooking season in just two weeks.

The Old Joliet Haunted Prison, at 401 Woodruff Road in Joliet, unlocks its gates on Saturday, Sept. 20 and continues on select nights through Nov. 9.

This year's haunt features three new themes: Cellblock 13: Warden's Revenge, Death Row Rampage and The Forsaken Facility.

Cellblock 13: Warden's Revenge is centered on a warden who was slain by inmates and has returned from the grave to seek revenge, while Death Row Rampage revolves around a violent prison yard uprising where the guards become the haunted. A top-secret military facility used to train soldiers to fight the undead that becomes overrun by the criminally insane is the focus of The Forsaken Facility.
