The Powerball jackpot has hit $1.8 billion for the drawing on Saturday, marking it the second largest Powerball jackpot ever in U.S. history.

No one has won Powerball's jackpot since May 31, 2025, a stretch of 40-plus consecutive drawings without anyone matching the game's six numbers.

Whoever the lucky jackpot winner is will have options for how they collect the prize.

One option is one immediate payment, followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5 percent each year, according to Powerball.

The $1.8 billion jackpot is for an annuity option that is paid over 30 years. If winners opt for the cash prize, it would currently be worth $826.4 million.
