HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) - Saturday’s storm didn’t stop thousands of people from heading to the Xfinity Theatre for the Outlaw Music Festival.
The touring festival included music icons, such as Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, and Cheryl Crow.
Before the show started, there was a shelter in place for lightning near the venue.
It was lifted within 30 minutes and performers were able to go on.
Fans came prepared for the weather.
“I’m packed with ponchos, I got the umbrella and everything. It might be a little mudslide going on in there, but I think it’s worth it to see Willie Nelson one last time possibly,” said Nick Galik from West Haven.
The last time the Outlaw Music Festival played in Hartford was in 2019.
