ATLANTA — A line of strong storms that produced powerful winds caused significant damage across portions of metro Atlanta on Saturday.
A 12-year-old girl was also tragically critically injured after a portion of a tree and several tree limbs fell and struck her in Paulding County.
Strong winds took a portion of the roof off at a Red Roof Inn motel in Cobb County and a prominent golf course was damaged by fallen trees.
The storms also delayed some of college football's biggest games in and around metro Atlanta.
