MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Police have arrested a 16-year-old and his mother in connection to the shooting on Beale Street, minutes after 901 Day celebrations began to officially wrap up.
The gun violence erupted just outside the entertainment district’s official border. The teen is accused of attempted second-degree murder. His mom is accused as an accessory after the fact.
Ebonie Stackins told FOX13 her mother, Suntria Stackins, and her brother, 16-year-old Joshua Hicks, own no guns she knows of. The younger Stackins said she talked to her younger brother about what happened on Beale Street Monday night.
