Lansing State Journal columnist Graham Couch grades Michigan State’s performance in its 42-40 overtime win over Boston College on a scale of 1-10.

There was quite a bit to like about MSU’s performance offensively, beginning with the second half and overtime quarterback Aidan Chiles put together when he completed 13 of 20 throws for 184 yards and two of his four touchdown passes. He made big plays with his arm — deep to Nick Marsh to open the second half, across the end zone to Omari Kelly to win the game — and with his legs, including a dazzling run on third-and-long in the third quarter and the game-tying touchdown in overtime.
