A three-home development in the backyard of an existing house in the Bridgeport area of Kitchener has raised concerns with neighbours.

The proposal, which will see the homes built on future severed lots at 157 Schweitzer St., needs planning committee approval Monday for a zoning bylaw amendment and site-specific provisions regarding setbacks to fit the three single-detached homes on its lots.

At a previous public meeting, residents voiced concerns about storm drainage with the homes so close together and a shallow storm sewer in the area — the solutions are to be determined — and that the new homes won’t fit into the character of the neighbourhood.
