The Barrington High School football team broke open a tight game with two third quarter touchdowns and powered to a 35-18 win over East Providence in an Injury Fund game on Thursday night, Sept. 4.
The Eagles led 14-6 at halftime, but opened up 28-6 lead before the Townies answered with two fourth quarter touchdowns.
East Providence Head Coach Jon Stringfellow said his team played well for long stretches but struggled with some costly miscues.
“A lot of correctable mistakes,” Stringfellow said. “We moved the ball with our triple option, which is what we were looking to do. We got down in certain situations where we thought we could put the ball in the end zone and we ended up with a fumble on the center exchange. We kind of shot ourselves in the foot a few times.
