The end of August can be a busy time for lots of people. For Chris Ashley, these past few weeks have been particularly hectic. Ashley is the principal at Barrington High School, and also was named acting superintendent of the Barrington School District about mid-way through the summer, after Rob Wargo resigned unexpectedly in late June. Ashley will remain acting superintendent until the school committee can find an interim superintendent, who will lead the district until a permanent superintendent is hired.
Ashley embraced the shift in roles — from principal to acting superintendent — and on Wednesday, Aug. 27 he welcomed all Barrington students back to class.
