An Edinburgh man who lives in his van rent-free is preparing for frigid nights as winter approaches.

Dom Wright made the brave decision in 2024 to ditch his expensive rented room in the capital to buy a Ford Transit van and transform it into a mini home he can take with him anywhere.

Dom, originally from Stockport, has since revealed the decision has enabled him to save at least £1,000 a month as he continues to put money aside for a house deposit.

Dom rage-quit his job working for an electric charging installation company in order to move out of the city and renovate the van in April 2024 and the 30-year-old uploads regular videos on his Instagram account @outside_with_ron, reports the Manchester Evening News .
