The body of a third hiker has been located, almost a week after a group of three reportedly went over a waterfall near Kimberley, B.C.

The BC RCMP said Sunday morning that they have found the body of the 35-year-old man, who had already been presumed dead.

“Efforts to retrieve his body are ongoing,” police said.

On Sept. 1, the RCMP was alerted by a GPS SOS that three hikers had gone over Meachen Creek Falls. Police discovered the body of a 68-year-old woman halfway down the falls.

In an update Sept. 3, police said they had found the body of a 35-year-old woman.

All three hikers were Mexican citizens, the police said Sunday.
