LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A mini motorcycle rider was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a crash in the northeast Las Vegas valley, according to Metro police.

Sunday evening, Metro police responded to the area of Gowan and Pecos roads after a report of a crash involving a mini motorcycle and a car.

Police said the mini motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Gowan Road at the same time a sedan was driving westbound. The crash occurred in the intersection when the driver of the sedan began to turn onto Pecos Road, crossing paths with the mini bike, causing the rider to crash into the side of the car, according to police.

The rider was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
