A teenager is accused of encouraging her ex-boyfriend to take his own life by sending "relentless text messages" and telling him to "kill yourself", a jury has heard.
The girl, who was under 16 at the time of her alleged crimes and cannot be named due to her age, faced the start of an ACT Supreme Court jury trial on Monday.
She has pleaded not guilty to inciting another person to commit suicide, sexual intercourse without consent, stalking, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault. Many of the charges are classified as family violence.
In her opening address to jurors, prosecutor Tamzin Lee said that in 2022, the boy, then also aged under 16, attempted to kill himself while alone in his bedroom.
