CANYON — You won't meet many people with a list of accomplishments like Brock Ewing.

A redshirt senior on the Colorado School of Mines football team, Ewing is pursuing a master's degree in structural engineering while serving as a captain on an Orediggers' team that played for a national title in 2022.

Week 2 of the 2025 campaign pitted Mines against West Texas A&M in Canyon, marking Ewing's first football game in the Texas Panhandle since graduating from Amarillo High in 2021.

A large group of friends and family members from Amarillo were at Bain-Schaeffer Buffalo Stadium to cheer the former Sandies' standout on as the Orediggers defeated WT 33-31.
