WISE, Va. (WJHL) - The Isaiah 117 House celebrated a new home in an expansion kickoff event on Sunday.

The event aimed to bring awareness of the upcoming development to the Wise, Lee, Scott and Norton area community.

The new home coming to the area is all thanks to a Wise County teacher, Brandy Martin, who said once she learned about Isaiah 117 House and their mission, she reached out.

"I have firsthand seen kids being removed from the home," Martin said. "When I was made aware of Isaiah 117 House, I knew the kids in Wise County needed one."

Sunday's event, along with the following six months, will be the organization's time to spread awareness of the new home to the community. Rhonda Paulson, Founder and Executive Director of Isaiah House, said they would love to talk to local churche
