Country singer Drake White and his wife Alex are mourning the loss of their baby daughter.

White’s daughter Della, who was born at 29 weeks, died shortly after birth on Aug. 31, the singer and his wife said in a joint Instagram post on Sunday, Sept. 7.

The couple wrote that Della was born at 8:52 a.m. local time before she “peacefully” died at 9:12 a.m. She weighed 3 pounds, 3.5 ounces and was 13.5 inches when she was born.

“We are so thankful for the holy moments God gave us with her. The Lord has been so near and close to us during this difficult time. He has held us up and sustained us through it all,” the post read. “We are heartbroken and soul tired, but we know we will get through this difficult time with the strength, peace, and joy that only our Heavenly Father can provide.
