Oliver Thomas has launched the first television advertising buy of his campaign for New Orleans mayor as the race enters its peak stretch before the October primary.

Thomas, who represents New Orleans East and the Lower 9th Ward as the District E representative on the New Orleans City Council, in a 30-second segment released Thursday lists achievements within his district over the past few years. He pledges to build on that record as mayor.

"We've done so much," Thomas says in the segment, narrating a montage of his interactions with New Orleanians and local sites.
