NEW HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A girls' soccer and basketball coach is facing charges after allegedly sending inappropriate messages to two teen players earlier this year in New Hartford, police said.
Jason Stimson, 51, was arrested on Aug. 22 and charged with two counts of risk of injury to a minor and two counts of harmful communication with a minor.
This comes after authorities received several reports in June regarding Stimson's behavior toward players, between the ages of 14 and 15 years old, on social media apps like Snapchat, Instagram, VSCO and iMessage.
In late June, the parents of a 14-year-old girl told authorities that their daughter was receiving allegedly "inappropriate texts" and photos from the coach that appeared to be sexual, according to the arrest warrant.
