SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Another potential hurdle for Axon may be in the works.

Tomorrow, the Scottsdale City Council will consider whether to sue the State of Arizona over a law that will make way for the stun gun maker's new headquarters near the Loop 101 and Hayden Road.

The special meeting at Scottsdale City Hall is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon and the city council is allowing in-person public comment.

This has been a controversial situation for the last nine months.

In June, Axon told 12News they’re no longer negotiating with Scottsdale city leaders, calling them "toxic."

“There was legitimately good faith effort to try to get something done," Axon President Josh Isner said in June. "We were literally negotiating against ourselves. We had the legal right to build 1,900 apartments.
