A report found nearly half of Nottingham City Council's housing had not been checked for over 10 years
Nottingham City Council is entering a "crucial" period in surveying its housing after a report found some properties had not been checked for more than a decade. The Labour-run authority was handed one of the worst ratings possible by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) in January 2025 after a report found nearly half of its housing had not been checked for over 10 years.
The report from the RSH said: "We have limited assurance that Nottingham City Council has an accurate, up-to-date, and evidenced understanding of its stock quality and decency as it has not surveyed almost 40 per cent of its homes for more than ten years.
