A school custodian in the Baldwin-Whitehall School District was arrested Monday after police said they found thousands of images and videos of child sexual abuse material on his personal electronic devices.

Michael Siar, 55, of Whitehall is facing 22 counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of criminal use of a communication facility, the Whitehall Police Department announced Monday.

Whitehall Police and assisting federal partners also said they do not believe any of the images or videos found on Mr. Siar’s devices were connected to his employment with the school district.

Police said an investigation into Mr. Siar began in April after Whitehall police learned the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received 13 cyber tips identifying him as a person who
