NORTH CHARLESTON — A man from a neighboring state was arrested on the afternoon of Sept. 7 after two women were found sleeping in a hotel lobby and claimed he’d brought them there. State authorities intend to investigate the incident as sex trafficking across several state lines.

Jeremy Lee Gordon, 39, of Evans, Ga. was booked into the Charleston County jail on one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of kidnapping, according to court records. Police contend the man brought at least one of the two alleged victims from Maryland, to Georgia, then down to North Charleston for the purpose of sexual exploitation .
