A chipmunk mascot has a soccer superstar seeing red over an interaction with his young son.
Brazilian forward Raphinha, who plays for Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona, is accusing a Disneyland Paris mascot of racism after the footballer’s son was snubbed while in line to hug a chipmunk.
In a video posted to social media over the weekend, Raphinha called out the costumed performer and the theme park for ignoring the young child after interacting with several white kids.
“Your employees are a disgrace. You shouldn’t treat people like that, especially a CHILD. You’re supposed to make children happy, not snub a child,” Raphinha wrote in a video posted to Instagram, according to reports. “I prefer to say it was snubbing, to say nothing else. You’re a disgrace.”
