Wayne Harold Hynes — the man accused of shooting a snowmobiler on Gravel's Pond in Port au Port West last winter — has pleaded not guilty to all eight charges he's facing.
Hynes appeared by phone from the Bishop's Falls Correctional Centre on Monday for an arraignment at the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador in Corner Brook.
His charges include attempted murder, careless use of a firearm and aggravated assault.

The incident happened on Feb. 21, when snowmobiler Chad Hickey was crossing a small saltwater pond near Hynes's home in Port au Port West. The details were shrouded in mystery for weeks, with police only saying Hickey "sustained serious injuries that did not appear to be consistent with the fall from the snowmob
