The Next 24 Hours

A surface ridge remains in place across the eastern half of the country today, keeping conditions across central Alabama quiet and dry. Skies are partly to mostly sunny with highs expected to reach the low to mid 80s this afternoon. A touch of northeast to east-northeast flow will continue through the day, with slightly milder overnight lows tonight in the low to mid 60s. Tuesday looks similar, with plenty of sunshine, a few passing clouds, and highs in the mid 80s.

The Next Big Thing

The overall pattern stays rain free through midweek as upper-level ridging builds in.

By Thursday and into the weekend, temperatures will likely climb into the low 90s, with overnight lows warming into the mid 60s.
