A 70-year-old man was killed at his Brooklyn home early Monday by an attacker who stabbed him eight times in the chest, police said.
A person of interest, a 31-year-old man, was taken into custody but has not yet been charged.
The slaying happened about 1:10 a.m. in the victim’s two-story brick home with a sunken garage on E. 87th St. near Avenue M in Canarsie, police said.
After being stabbed, the victim got to Brookdale University Hospital by private means — where he died about an hour later — and doctors called police. His name was not immediately released.
