WILLIAMSTON, N.C. (WITN) - An investigation is underway into a Williamston shooting that left 27-year-old Jermaine Smith dead, and now Smith’s family is talking to WITN about the tragic loss.

Jermaine Smith’s siblings are grieving and taking time to remember their brother after the 27-year-old was shot and killed.

“I just remember my brother as always being there for me, always cheering me on, just being a loving person, hard-willed, dedicated,” Jermaine’s twin sister, Jasmine Smith, said.

Saturday night , Williamston police went to a home on Roberson Street for a report that someone had been shot. Officials say Jermaine Smith died due to his injuries.
