DOVER-FOXCROFT, Maine (WABI) - A former Piscataquis Community High School food service employee was sentenced Monday for having sexually explicit materials.

23-year-old Mason Mickle will spend 11 months behind bars followed by four years of probation.

His defense asked that his lack of a criminal record and his age be considered in his guilty plea.

The Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit became aware of the situation through a chat on Discord, an instant messaging app, depicting a sexually explicit video involving a minor.

As part of his sentence, Mickle is not allowed to have access to the internet and no contact with anyone under the age of eighteen.
